Foreman, the AI assistant

Foreman is the helper you open with Ask Foreman. It answers questions about how to use the Toolbox and our apps. The help search on the Support page works the same way, so this section covers it too.

• Answers can be wrong. Foreman uses AI to write its answers from our help guides. When AI is turned off, it shows the matching guide as written. Either way, an answer can be wrong or out of date, so check anything important before you rely on it.
• Not professional advice. Foreman's answers are not professional, financial or legal advice.
• Estimates are not guarantees. If Foreman shows an estimate, such as what an app could be worth to your company, it is an estimate, not a guarantee. Your results can be different.
• What we save. We don't save every chat. We save questions Foreman can't answer (with the question you asked just before it, if any) and your answers to "Was this helpful?" (with the question they were about). Each one is saved with your account, your company and your role.
• How we use it. We use what we save to improve Foreman and to write and fix our help guides. Only the Built by the Trades team sees it.
• Our AI provider. When AI is on, your question and the one you asked just before it are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, along with our help guides, so it can write the answer. Please don't type passwords, card numbers or other private details.
